Monarch Alternative Capital bought 80 of Shopko's in-store optical units during the bankruptcy and relaunched them as standalone Shopko Optical stores.
Shopko Optical was sold to Fielmann Group AG in 2024 and continues operating; no general-merchandise Shopko store remains.
