The hospital adverse-events study is by Sneha Kannan, Joseph Dov Bruch, and Zirui Song (JAMA, 2023). It compares 662,095 hospitalizations at 51 acquired hospitals with 4,160,720 at 259 controls. The previous entry misstated the authors and sample and incorrectly described an increase in in-hospital mortality. The study reports a small decrease in in-hospital mortality and no differential change by 30 days after discharge. Original study.

A second JAMA link was described as a hospital-assets study. It is a 2025 patient-experience study by Anjali Bhatla and colleagues. Its title, authors, date, and summary have been corrected. The asset-decline and causal claims have been removed. Original study.

The revised list retains ten identified sources, including favorable and mixed findings. Ten other entries are withheld because the cited item or its claims could not be verified from accessible original material. These include a supposed veterinary study attributed to unnamed researchers, generic report links, and an older nursing-home working-paper summary whose title and effect estimate changed across versions.

Policy analysis, legal commentary, a conference paper, and journalism are now separated from peer-reviewed research. The nursing-home competition paper links to its 2026 journal publication. See the revised research list.

Counts, dates, and contributions

Homepage counts distinguish operating outcomes from published assessments. The Graveyard no longer combines a fixed historical review total with current counts. The X gallery is labeled as a September 4, 2026 snapshot, and the homepage no longer assigns today’s date to a static company admission.

The contribution invitation no longer claims email verifies roles or experience dates, or that five reports establish a citable finding. The homepage research summary now cites the corrected JAMA study.
