Brands agreed in June 2026 to sell Pizza Hut for $2.7B in two transactions: LongRange Capital takes the business outside mainland China for ~$1.5B plus a $75M earn-out through 2030, and Yum China bought the mainland China locations for $1.2B (closed August 7, 2026). LongRange gets 15,500+ restaurants in 108 countries and ~$10B in annual systemwide sales. The chain arrives with US systemwide sales down ~8% in fiscal 2025, same-store sales down 4% in Q1 2026, and roughly 250 US locations closed in the first half of 2026
